The Four Parts of a Pipette
A pipette consists of four parts: the rubber bulb, the cap, the glass tube and the tip. The bulb controls flow, the cap may include push-button or child-resistant features, and the tip determines how the liquid is released. Bent ball tips are common for drop-by-drop dosing, while straight and conical tips are better suited for larger amounts.

Choosing the Right Neck Thread
The neck thread of your glass bottle must align with the selected pipette to ensure a secure fit. DIN18 is the European standard; GPI/GCMI is used in the US and indicated by two numbers (e.g. 22/410), referring to diameter and thread height.
